Play the game and try to make your family survive. This game lets you experience the hardships of farming in a poor country. You will experience corruption, lack of basic necessities, wars, diseases and droughts.

Ayiti the Cost of Life:

Working with youth leaders, Global Kids and Gamelab developed Ayiti, a role-playing video game in which the player assumes the roles of family members living in rural Haiti. Over the course of the game, players choose among and balance various goals, such as achieving education, making money, staying healthy, and maintaining happiness while encountering unexpected events.

Heifer Village Nepal:

The game is called Heifer Village: Nepal, and its goal is to simulate the challenges faced by those living in poverty and hunger, and to demonstrate some specific methods to address these issues.

Darfur is dying

Darfur is Dying is a viral video game for change that provides a window into the experience of the 2.5 million refugees in the Darfur region of Sudan. Players must keep their refugee camp functioning in the face of possible attack by Janjaweed militias. Players can also learn more about the genocide in Darfur that has taken the lives of 400,000 people, and find ways to get involved to help stop this human rights and humanitarian crisis.

Quandary

Players aged 8-14 shape the future of a new society while learning how to recognize ethical issues and deal with challenging situations in their own lives.
Players lead a new human colony on a distant planet. They must make difficult decisions in which there are no clear right or wrong answers but important consequences – to themselves, to others in the colony and to the planet Braxos. Players develop skills such as critical thinking, perspective-taking and decision-making. Quandary provides a framework for how to approach ethical decision-making without telling players what to think.

The Last Symphony was created to showcase design strategies based on indexical storytelling. Hidden object games often include objects that are out of place or anachronistic in their scenes, or ask players to find objects that are largely unrelated to the storyline or the goal of the player. Collection of objects in The Last Symphony is not only directly tied to the player's goal, but also reveals the story through that process.

This is the original game from 1993. Sail down the Amazon river and choose travel guides, make travel plans, manage supplies, navigate a boat on the Amazon river, encounter many indigenous animal species, take pictures, and catch fish in order to survive the hazards of the journey.
